TV alum to perform in Decatur

A former television show contestant will be appearing in Decatur in early June.

Maddie Poppe rose to stardom on the 16th season of ABC’s hit show American Idol. Her debut record, which she made with her dad, was released just two years before her appearance on the show. Since taking home the top prize, she has made several other appearances on the small screen, as well as releasing more music. Poppe opened up for Ingrid Michaelson in 2019, following with her own holiday tour and album the next year. Some of her songs include “Wildflowers,” “One That Got Away,” “Going Going Gone,” and “Not Losing You.”

This show will be taking place at Eddie’s Attic. The venue has a bar and kitchen, however, the kitchen is currently being renovated. Outside food will be allowed if the kitchen is not completed by the date of the show, but drinks will need to be purchased inside the venue. Masks are recommended, but not required. Tickets are $25, with the option to purchase tables, which consist of four spots each. A Meet And Greet with Maddie is also available for $50.

Doors for this meeting/photo op will open up at 5:30 pm. Flyer printing will often be used to promote concerts like this one. Poppe will be bringing along Meaghan Farrell as a supporting act. Doors for the main event will open at 6:00 pm, with the show kicking off at 7:00 pm. All ages are welcome at the concert, but if those under age 21 are not with someone that age or older, the venue will be applying a small surcharge at the door. The date for the event is set to be June 1.
