Sprouts celebrates Snellville opening

The much awaited opening of the new Sprouts Farmers Market grocery store has been celebrated in Snellville, with shoppers lining the entrance to the store for hours before time.

The first outlet in the chain to open in Atlanta, the store at The Shoppes certainly made an impression amid its poster printing and banner printing efforts at launch. As well as shouting loud and clear about the launch, its customers were treated to muffins and coffee free of charge as they waited.

There was also live entertainment put on for the crowds as Sprouts sought to make an immediate impression. It certainly seemed to be working, with two eager customers at the front of the line excitedly telling the Gwinnett Daily Post:

“We heard it was compared to Trader Joe’s, so we were very excited that we have something comparable so close to home.”

After more than 18 months of work, the store was finally opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony. With hundreds of shoppers quickly filling the store, another early customer said:

“This is an exciting place.

“It seems like Black Friday in here.”

Customers came from all over to visit the outlet, which the chain hopes will be the first of many more stores to open in the state. For its first week, customers were able to enjoy money off coupons.
