Project AVA specializes in helping kids from low-income families get the assistance that they need. The Halloween Boutique program is just one of the many programs through which Project AVA helps the local community and it would not be able to keep going without the donations that it receives. Donations are essential, so businesses are encouraged to donate costumes or other Promotional Products as Corporate Gifts.
The Halloween Boutique started five years ago. Since then, it has provided more than 450 costumes to children in Decatur, Orlando, and Edwardsville. This year, parents who wish to pick up costumes for their children can get them from the police station and also from a local store known as Giggles. These locations were chosen because they are safe and secure.
The staff at Giggles has seen many types of costumes being delivered over the years. For some families, donating their old costumes is a tradition. Chrissy Spurlock, the store’s owner, stated:
“It keeps getting bigger and bigger each year. Parents bring their kids in to teach them a lesson about helping others. They know it’s for those who couldn’t otherwise afford a costume.”
The Boxes will be on display until October 14.
