The Snellville Farmer’s Market will be opening for the season in just a matter of days.
As the area surrounding the city is more urban in nature, most of the products come from farms and gardens located within a 100-mile radius of the city.
Featured are farmers who sell meats, eggs, and produce, much of which is picked the day before the market or even early that morning. Vendors also include those who sell homemade baked goods, jellies, jams, preserves, and honey. Crafts at the market have a relationship to food or gardening, and can include culinary items, such as pepper mills, cutting boards, and aprons, as well as candles, lotions, and soaps made with natural ingredients.
Vendors participating in the market are provided with a T-shirt, the cost of which has been covered by Success Through Advertising, a Snellville business located on East Main Street. Other sponsors of the market include Snell’s Pharmacy and the Summit Chase Country Club, which provides food the Vendor Appreciation Luncheon at the end of the year.
These sponsors may be turning to a local Print company to help print Flyers and other materials promoting this rural Saturday morning oasis in a downtown urban setting.
