The Dekalb Chamber of Commerce has announced that it will be welcoming Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger as part of its annual power lunch series.
The event will give Chamber members a chance to listen to a speech from the Secretary – who became a national figure in the aftermath of the 2020 elections – then ask questions about his job.
As part of his remarks, Secretary Raffensperger will discuss a wide range of topics related to his jobs and the efforts of his department. These include elections management, professional licensing, securities regulation, and charities. He will also discuss the financial literacy programs for which his departments is now responsible, as per legislation recently passed by the Georgia legislature. The Secretary will also be available to answer questions.
The event itself will take place on Wednesday, July 19. Doors open for networking at 11:00 am, so guests should bring plenty of Business Cards and be prepared to introduce themselves to new Chamber members. Secretary Raffensperger will speak and take questions shortly after 12.
The event is being held at the DeKalb Chamber Banquet Room, which is located at 1484 Brockett Road in Tucker, just a short journey from Decatur. Tickets are $30 for members and $45 for non-members.
The event is sponsored by Verizon. For more information on how to sponsor events, individuals are encouraged to visit the Chamber website or call 404-378-8000.
