Decatur Wine Festival coming in November

More than just wine, the Decatur Wine Festival is a chance to spend an afternoon eating, drinking and being merry in Downtown Decatur.

Held outdoors on the square, attendees can sample a few dishes from some of Decatur’s best restaurants in between glasses of wine. There will be music along with a DJ to get the party started and keep it going. Included with each ticket is a commemorative wine glass.

A banner printing service helps to build excitement for an event as well as identify the when and the where.

Proceeds from the Wine Festival will go to support the Decatur Arts Alliance, which produces the Oakhurst Porchfest, Decatur Arts Festival and the Artway outdoor sculpture series along with various other free art events each year.

One attraction for those who love wine and surprises is the Wall of Wine located at the Arts Alliance Tent. For every $20 donated to the Decatur Arts Alliance, the donor can draw a number and receive the wall’s corresponding bottle of wine. Bottles of wine on the wall are worth between $10 and $100.

Pandemic safety precautions will include: a proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID test no more than two days prior, plus a valid government-issued ID to match. Wearing a mask when not eating or drinking will be required and wine tables will be spaced to allow for social distancing.

The Decatur Wine Festival takes place 12:30 pm-4:30 pm on November 6.
