Chamber to help members market their businesses online

The Dekalb Chamber of Commerce has announced a morning event featuring networking and conversation to help members learn the basics of online marketing.

Specifically, this event will review the “must do basics” that any Chamber member should consider when engaging in online marketing.

The event itself will teach Chamber members and attendees more specific pieces of information on online marketing, including search engine optimization (SEO), social media integration, content creation, and more. It is being run by Michael Morse, a team leader for RevLocal. Morse is an expert in internet marketing who works specifically in the Georgia/Jacksonville market. He also holds a degree in journalism and spent three years writing for a local newspaper. The media experience gives Morse a unique understanding of how local media works and what people who consume media are looking for.

This Chamber event is being geared as not just educational but networking oriented. As such, Chamber members should bring Business Cards and be ready to speak with other Chamber members about ways that they may be able to work together in the future.

The event itself is being held on Wednesday, June 28, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. It is being held at the DeKalb Chamber offices, which are located at 1484 Brocket Road in Tucker, just a few miles from Decatur. Tickets are free for Chamber members or $25 for non-members.
