Individuals who are interested in that prospect of becoming their own boss are in luck, as the Dekalb Chamber of Commerce, which includes Decatur, has announced a webinar on how to do just that.
The course describes itself as covering “all areas” of what is necessary for starting a business, meaning that prospective entrepreneurs may get a start-to-finish idea of the process from this event.
The webinar will review multiple components to starting a business, including figuring out if a business idea is even workable, financing the business, hiring staff, managing legal paperwork, and integrating all of this into a business plan. Once attendees are done, they should have a much better idea of what steps they need to take to get their business off the ground. Attendees will also understand how to manage business finances, hire top-notch staff, and start to build out a marketing plan.
This event is a webinar, meaning there will not be any opportunities to network or exchange Business Cards. However, materials will be emailed to all attendees after the fact, so attendees need not worry about taking extensive notes or missing any information.
The webinar will be held on Tuesday, September 26, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Pre-registration is required and can be completed on the Chamber’s website. The cost of the event is $39.
