Ammazza Pizzeria recently opened its second restaurant in Decatur with an expanded dinner menu. They will serve antipasto, pizza, pasta, craft cocktails, beer and wine. The lunch menu is set to begin in 2019.
The executive chef will be Chef Sean Dwyer. They will have seasonal pizza made from local meats and fresh produce. It is located a few blocks from downtown.
At 2,500 square feet, the restaurant has intimate seating areas, large windows, copper lights, and a large bar.
The restaurant also has two pizza ovens imported from Italy. The ovens are plated with brass tiles. Antique brick and steel beams give the restaurant an industrial look. There are viewing windows where customers can watch cooks make fresh pasta and pizza.
There will be a mural on the wall that leads to an outdoor patio to dine in good weather. Daniel Bridges will serve as general manager. Decatur will have made good use of printing services that design Menus and promotional product for local restaurants like this.
Serving specialty pasta dishes like Spaghetti Friti Veg with mushrooms, onions, cream, and cheese, the restaurant also has specialty salads and pizzas, such as Pizza Inferno with basil, hot peppers, mozzarella and sopressata or chicken pesto with basil, spinach-marinated chicken, onion, and cheese.
Ammazza Pizzeria is located on 314 East Howard Avenue and is open nightly for dinner.
