Amplify My Community will hold the 2022 Amplify Decatur Music Festival in April and have confirmed several acts that will be performing.
Ben Harper, a Grammy Award winner thrice; Old Crow Medicine Show, the winner of two Grammy Awards; soul duo The War and Treaty; Son Volt; the Mike Killeen Band and S.G. Goodman will comprise the festival’s entertainment.
Poster printing services have traditionally offered one of the most favored methods of promoting festivals.
Founded in 2010 and based in Decatur, Amplify My Community has chosen as its mission to use music to combat poverty in local communities. The organization has produced over 90 concerts and raised funds exceeding $450,000, which it has passed on to local groups fighting poverty and homelessness and of that over $315,000 has remained in Decatur.
While the Music Festival will take place on the downtown Decatur Square on Saturday April 23, Amplify Decatur will also offer up a series of events at the same location on Friday, April 22 and on Sunday evening, April 24 a show will be held at Eddie’s Attic.
Three ticket levels are available for the Saturday event running from 2 to 11 pm: General admission - $75, VIP - $195, and premium VIP $275.
Proceeds from the event will go to Decatur Cooperative Ministry to assist them in their mission to prevent and alleviate homelessness in the city as well as the rest of DeKalb County.
