The city of Orlando will be holding its Veterans Day Parade for the 26th consecutive year.
This is one of the signature events of Mayor Buddy Dyer’s calendar, and has been a tradition for many years in downtown Orlando. This year, however, the parade will be moving to the community of Lake Nona, as a result of the partnership with the Lake Nona Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Tavistock. The parade promises to honor veterans with a new setting and a fresh perspective.
“Service to our Nation” is the theme of this year’s parade, and recognizes the sacrifice and dedication of service members of the military, both past and present.
The beginning of the parade will be at Laureate Park Elementary School, and it will end at the Lake Nona Town Center. After the parade, there will be an honors ceremony featuring a formal presentation by an Honor Guard, appearances by special guests, live performances, and remarks from local officials. There will also be activities and opportunities for fun for the entire family.
The parade is still accepting sponsorships of events and ads for the parade program. Local Print shops can contribute to such annual and distinctive events with printing parade programs and other printed materials to promote celebrations.
