Orlando to host Independence Day celebration

The 48th annual Fireworks at the Fountain will take place at Lake Eola Park in Orlando in July.

Staring in the late afternoon, there will be fun for the entire family, live entertainment, and beverages and food available for purchase from a wide range of vendors. Later in the evening there will be a spectacular fireworks finale, which will be accompanied by a patriotic performance by the Orlando Concert Band.

There will be parking facilities available in garages and surface lots downtown. Attendees are encouraged to use the free LYMMO Bus Rapid Transit service, carpool, bicycle, or ride share to get to the celebrations.

Attendees are encouraged to bring coolers with non-alcoholic drinks, umbrellas, picnic blankets and/or beach towels and chairs, and well-behaved pets on a leash.

Lake Eola Park has a sidewalk that circles the park and is just under one mile so that visitors can keep track of their running or walking distances. The park also offers swan-shaped paddle boats for rent and the ability to photograph live swans and other birds in the park. The 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards of US Today has named it as a Top Five Best City Park.

Local Print shops can help promote such annual events with Flyers, Posters, and other printed materials.

This celebration will be on Friday July 4 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m.
