Races and Fun Runs coming up this month in Orlando and the surrounding communities will benefit various charitable organizations while offering am enjoyable time for all participants.
The first is the 6th annual Pumpkin Run in at Mead Garden Winter Park. This is sponsored by St. Stephen Catholic Community, St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, and other friends of Haiti and supports the people in Haiti. Proceeds of the Pumpkin Run will go towards rebuilding schools and churches damaged by earthquakes and hurricanes, developing sustainable programs for health care, and providing school Books and job training.
The race starts at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, with registration beginning at 6:30 a.m. The cost is $20 for children between the ages of 10 and 18 and $30 for adults.
Medals will be given to the top three female and male race runners and walkers in each age group.
The second is the 15th annual Turkey Trot Family 5K Run and Walk at Osprey Park in Orlando. This event will take place on Saturday November 22 beginning at 8:30 a.m. Participants are asked to bring non-perishable food items which will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
The organizers of these races may be working together with a flyer printing company to Print a flyer and other materials that will promote these races and the charities that they are sponsoring.
