Orlando invites everyone to pottery festival

The Orlando Pottery Festival is being held in Orlando for the ninth year.

This pottery event is an annual holiday arts market and festival that features distinctive ceramic handmade gifts created by over 35 local artists. The largest of its kind in Central Florida, this event is a celebration of the ceramics arts market featuring many unique works created by regional potters.

Many talented artists will be present, and participants will have the opportunity to shop the vast array of handmade functional and sculptural work. Finished works available for purchase will include sturdy dishware, home decor, unique sculptural art, and delicate jewelry.

All art pieces are created using slip-cast and hand-built techniques or the pottery wheel. These one-of-a-kind items are often purchased for individual gardens, homes, and gifts.

Local shopping during the holidays helps support the local arts community, their hobbies and businesses, and the Central Florida community as a whole. Additional business card printing is expected to be in demand prior to and during the weekend of the festival.

The Orlando Pottery Festival will take place Saturday, November 30, during the hours of 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, December 1, from 12 until 4 pm. Located at the Florida Army National Guard Armory at 2809 South Ferncreek Avenue, this will be a family-friendly event for all ages. Both free admission and parking are available.
