Orlando Cattle Barons Ball to go digital

One of Orlando’s most prestigious charity galas will be switching to a virtual format this year in its quest to raise money for cancer research and relief.

The Orlando Cattle Baron’s Ball is typically an in-person ball with live entertainment and food, which promotes a country-Western attire, rather than the traditional formal dress. The online event will feature some of the Ball’s trademarks, such as a live and silent auction. These auctions will use a digital app for speedy and secure bidding.

The event will also feature a ‘Baron’s Contest’, in which community ‘baronesses’ will compete to raise votes and money. Proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.

The weeks leading up to the Ball will see promotion such as the virtual ‘Trail Ride’ events, which offer a miniature version of the main event. The first of these video events took place on July 23, with a second scheduled for August 20.

The upcoming ride will feature a musical performance, a small five-action auction, a photo contest and a drawing for a ‘grape expectations’ wine prize pack. Digital outreach like this, alongside physical Promotional Products, is a vital part of promoting and building anticipation for charitable social events.

The 2020 edition of the Orlando Cattle Baron’s Ball will take place on September 19. Past editions have raised over $500,000 for local and national cancer programs.
