Cast members of the long-running improvised comedy show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” will be giving a live performance in Orlando this December, under the title “Whose Live Anyway?”
The performers will include Ryan Stiles, Jeff B. Davis, Joel Murray, and Greg Proops. As is standard at an improv show, the performers will take phrases and ideas from the audience and create comedic scenes on the spot, meaning that every show is unique. Based on a British series, Whose Line Is It Anyway? helped to introduce improv to a broader audience, and has run since 1998 on various networks, with a break between 2007 and 2013. Stiles has been a regular on the series the whole time, with Proops and Davis being frequent guest stars.
The live show is expected to be approximately 90 minutes and will feature improv games seen on the TV show as well as some new ones. Bob Derkach will provide music.
The Orlando show is part of a nationwide tour that runs on and off throughout the year. The same weekend will feature live performances in Clearwater, Jacksonville, and Fort Lauderdale. Improv shows like this exist on both large and small stages, often using items like brochure printing to introduce the cast, and have launched many high-profile comedy careers.
The show will visit Orlando for a live performance on December 4 at the Hard Rock Live.
