A local Orlando theme park is looking to attract those close to home by offering lower rates for natives of the tri-state area.
Icon Park will be lowering its rates this summer for residents of Florida, Georgia and Alabama. The offer will see discounts of up to 40 percent for some tickets. Icon Park includes seven separate attractions, to which visitors can buy tickets separately or in various combinations and packages. This include rides like the giant The Wheel, which offers a 18-minute ascent over Orlando’s skyline in a private capsule, the action-oriented StarFlyer advertised as the tallest such ride in the world, and the “7D Dark Ride Adventure”, a virtual reality ride mimicking first-person shooter video games.
Icon Park reopened at the start of June after a brief absence. More grounded attractions include the Sea Life Orlando Aquarium, Madame Tussaud’s Orlando, Arcade City, and various shopping and eating destinations. The new sale ties into Icon Park’s branding as “Orlando’s Hometown Playground” and is designed to make up for an anticipated loss of tourism by allowing locals a better chance to sample the park. Campaigns like this, alongside tools like Promotional Products and brochure printing, can be crucial to the business of special attractions and recreation.
Icon Park’s discounted price plans for residents of Florida, Alabama and Georgia will be in effect until August 31 of this year.
