A popular Orlando-area Independence Day celebration will be returning this year after an absence last summer.
Fireworks at the Fountain typically features live music and entertainment culminating in a fireworks show after sundown. Among the musical acts will be the Orlando Concert Band, who will give a “patriotic performance” as the fireworks go off. The event will be the 44th official edition of the typically yearly fireworks display. The 2020 Fireworks at the Fountain were canceled due to social distancing concerns. Participants are encouraged to bring umbrellas and chairs for their comfort and to wear a mask if they are unvaccinated.
There will be hours of festivities at the park leading up to the fireworks, including food and beverages and games aimed at children. Outdoor gatherings like this are typically gathering places for food trucks and other street vendors, who sometimes use Business Cards and social media handles to win over year-round customers. This year’s festivities will also be broadcast live on News 6 WKMG and streamed online. Downtown Orlando residents may also have a good view of the fireworks from their homes.
The 2021 edition of Fireworks at the Fountain will occur on the 4th of July at Lake Eola Park. The event will start at 5 pm, with the fireworks themselves expected to start at 9:15 pm.
