Wilmington June festivals have Italian food, jazz, and ice cream
Festival lovers will have at least three options in Wilmington next month.
St Anthony of Padua, 901 N. DuPont Street, will be holding its annual Italian Festival with a Home Winemakers Competition, Italian Dancers at the Brandywine Center, Feast Day Procession on Sunday, Italian Festival marketplace in La Piazza, and entertainment.
The Ballad Room will have Bruce Anthony and Frank & Michell. Other artists such as Crescendo, FM Band, Billy Logue, and Big House Band will be at the Bellini Bar, Caffe Nona Strada, and the Caffe Anonian. There will be plenty of authentic Italian food for purchase.
The Italian Festival will run from Sunday, June 11 through Saturday, June 18.
In remembrance of legendary composer, entertainer, and gifted trumpet player Clifford Brown, Wilmington will be holding its 36th Annual Clifford Brown Jazz Festival in Rodney Square, 1000 N. Market Street, from June 21 through 24.
Fans of artists like Clifford Brown often buy T-shirts sporting their logo design or graphic design online before a festival.
Rockwood Park & Museum, 4651 Washington Street Extension, will have its annual Ice Cream Festival on June 24 from 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm.
Music will be presented by Ty Mathis, Nic Snow Aziza Nailah, Fuzaholics, Howl Train, and What the Funk. Along with seven ice cream vendors, the event will have food trucks, a beer garden, and fireworks. Tickets are $5.
