The Delaware Art Museum will host a virtual workshop for residents throughout Wilmington and nearby, explaining how to sculpt birds.
The instructor of the workshop will demonstrate sculpting a bird followed by adding adornments like beaks and wings along, with other characteristics. This is a virtual family-friendly event with a lot of activity.
The organizers of the workshop encourage families and groups of friends to gather together to make the birds, ending up with a whole flock of birds for display. After the birds are created, they should be dropped off at the museum where they will be fired in the kiln. Upon completion, they will be returned to the participants. While glazing is not required, touches of acrylic colors can be added, if anyone wishes to enhance their projects.
Flyer printing is a great way to promote workshops and classes. The Flyers can contain all pertinent information and be distributed to database or member lists and displayed in venues.
The event will take place March 10 from 10:00 am to noon. Registration is $60 per person or $40 if members of the museum. After registration is finalized, an email that includes details and a link to join the Zoom presentation will be sent. Those participating in the workshop can make arrangements to pick up the supply kit, which is include in the registration fee, from the museum prior to the class.
