Newtown clinic to teach softball techniques

Blue Angels Fastpitch Softball will host a winter clinic in December at the Newtown Athletic Club.

The 5th Annual Winter Exposure Clinic is a program where softball players in high school can improve their athletic abilities and interact with coaches from local colleges. Many colleges will participate in the event, such as Delaware Valley University, Arcadia University, and Elizabethtown College. Participants in the event will be guided through warmups and given instructions for each drill. The athletes at the clinic will also receive position-specific instructions. Students are asked to bring their own gear to the softball program.

Blue Angels Fastpitch Softball is an athletic organization that aims to empower female softball players and create a supportive yet challenging environment. The group was created in 2018 by Jackie Ecker and Maeve McGill. Ecker is the head coach for Archbishop Wood Softball’s varsity program, and McGill is the assistant varsity coach. The home fields for the organization are located at Lukens Park, Archbishop Wood High School, and Cedar Hill Road Park.

The softball clinic will be held on Saturday, December 2nd from 9:00am to 1:00pm. High school students who are interested in joining the event can pay $120. Athletic organizations that have training programs similar to this may use flyer printing services to make custom ads that share their events with local students.
