The Newtown Business Association (NBA) is having its annual Newtown Welcome Day event this June.
The “Street Fair with Flair” will offer activities, vendors, and live music. Vendors will include NBA member businesses, crafters, and artists. There will also be around 10food trucks. Live music will be performed throughout the event, and there will be kids’ activities like face painting and a bounce house.
The event is free to attend. Some vendor and sponsorship spaces are still available for Welcome Day, which is expected to bring more than 5,000 guests to Newtown. Artisans and crafters selling handmade pieces can reserve a table for $100. Tables for NBA member businesses are $350. Business names and logos will be included on the event T-shirt. Organizers of events often work with graphic design experts to create event shirts. Businesses located on Sycamore Street can reserve the space near or in front of their businesses for free. Registration for all of these is available on NBA’s website.
The fair takes place on Sycamore Street between Durham Road and Jefferson Street. The road will be closed from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, so attendees should plan their routes accordingly. Parking will be available on side streets and in nearby lots.
Newtown Welcome Day will be on Sunday, June 14 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sycamore Street.
