Greenwich will be holding Family Days later this month to celebrate the holiday season.
Such special events of the season can be promoted throughout the community with poster printing.
Volunteers from the Junior League of Greenwich will be hosting The Enchanted Forest on Saturday and Sunday. This event will take place at the Bruce Museum, with the focus of the event being a forest of trees donated and decorated by professional decorators, lovers of the holiday season, and retail shops. There will be a silent auction so that people can bid on the trees and take them home.
Attendees will also be able to decorate their own gingerbread house. A ticket for this event is $50; this includes an assembled house with all the needed frosting, candy, and a box for transporting the house back home. Take-home kits will also be available.
Another activity will be the Children’s Giving Shop. This is for children five years of age and older in a special secured area where they can shop for gifts. Members of the Junior League will supervise the shop and wrap the presents so they can be ready for giving. There will also be another Holiday Boutique for adults.
Breakfast with Santa will offer live entertainment, a visit from Santa Claus, and a tasty breakfast, all in the hour before The Enchanted Village opens.
The Enchanted Village will take place on Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19.
