The C. Parker Gallery in Greenwich is currently hosting a photography exhibit of a retrospective of legends in Rock ‘n Roil by Baron Wolman, a well-known photographer for Rolling Stone magazine.
These photographs were on the covers of 22 issues of the magazine, and include the one from the very first issue in October 1967.
There was a special opening night reception held earlier in the month, at which was presented a special 15-minute film on Wolman and his legacy. Wolman also appeared at the gallery during the opening weekend.
The exhibit runs until this Sunday, November 18.
Another new exhibition recently opened at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, which features models, miniatures, and dioramas that look at architecture from both interior and exterior standpoints. There is a wide range of works, from those that show surreal places that could only be represented in miniature, to those that more closely examine architectural structures and their place in architectural history. It is a mixed-media exhibit that intends to fascinate all who visit due to the precision of the work and the juxtaposition of size to the real world.
Running through January 27, support for this exhibit comes from the Connecticut Office of the Arts and Deborah G. and Charles M. Royce Exhibition Fund.
Unique exhibits such as these could benefit from banner printing to promote themselves.
