Seasonal events to take place in Greenwich

Several events will be hosted by the Greenwich Historical Society this month and next.

Events like these are often promoted throughout a community with poster printing.

This month both members and non-members can create a Thanksgiving centerpiece. Made from a gourd or pumpkin, the centerpiece incorporates succulents, autumnal natural elements such as leaves and mosses, and other greens. Red Flower Truck will be presenting this workshop which is made possible by Karen McKenna Real Estate. This will be held on Thursday November 18 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $90 for members and $100 for non-members.

There will be a Winter Market at Christ Church on Putnam Avenue featuring 35 vendors offering flowers, specialty foods, clothing, jewelry, gifts and much more. An opening night reception for the market will be held Thursday, December 2 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. with a suggested donation of $20. That same day Doyle will be holding jewelry appraisals from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with appointments every 15 minutes. The Winter Market will be held on Saturday December 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The annual Festival of Tabletop Trees celebrates those designers, organizations, and retailers in the area who contribute to making homes festive during the holiday season. Attendees can look at, bid on, or purchase trees from Thursday December 2 through Saturday December 4. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
