A new speaker series will be held this spring by the Whitby School in Greenwich and will focus on the middle school years.
There will be three virtual sessions open to the public. The speakers are experts in their field and will discuss issues which are of concern to parents along with practical advice to help their children be successful and thrive during their middle school years. Poster printing is one way for organizers of such talks to create Posters that draw the attention of those interested in such topics.
The first session will be led by Christopher Bogart, PhD, who is the Executive Director of the Sasco River Center. Dr. Bogart will talk about stress and its effect on anxiety and resilience regarding children’s development. This talk will be held on Tuesday March 9.
The second session will be led by Peg Dawson, PhD, who is the co-author of “Smart but Scattered.” She will focus on how children can acquire executive skills which are essential to not only skills in academics but in getting things done. This talk will be held on Tuesday April 6.
The last session will be led by Joseph Demers, PhD, who is a licensed psychologist. Dr. Demers will talk about the developmental differences of boys and their effect on their behavioral characteristics and learning. This talk will be held on Thursday May 6.
All talks will take place at 7:00 p.m.
