Run and walk to be hosted by Greenwich nonprofit

The first virtual Esophageal Cancer Walk and Run will be held by the Salgi Esophageal Cancer Research Foundation based in East Greenwich later this month.

This walk and run is open to everyone around the world. The possibilities for where it can take place are endless and it can be on a trail or bike path; by the ocean, a river or the sea; in the neighborhood; or wherever people like to run and walk. In addition, participants can swim, ride their bicycles, roller blade, and skateboard. The event will not be timed, and people can take part at their own pace.

Printing services across the globe can be used to inform people of unique events and opportunities like this, and the causes behind them.

Those who are unable to participate in the event can still help the Foundation by making a donation to support a team or individual, making an in-kind donation, creating their own fundraising activity, or becoming an official sponsor of the event. Among the current in-kind sponsors are Jersey Mike’s Subs, True Leaf Market, Manitoba Harvest, and W. Atlee Burpee & Co. The Salgi Esophageal Cancer Research Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises awareness, encourages early detection, and funds research of esophageal cancer.

This walk and run will take during Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28.
