Produce-only Greenwich market to open this month

The Greenwich Farmers Market will open in under two weeks’ time.

Located at the Horseneck Lane Commuter Lot on Arch Street, the Greenwich Farmers Market will have a total of 14 vendors this season which will run from May through December on Saturdays. Several vendors, including Farming 101, Four Mile River Farm, Riverbank Farm, and Two Guys from Woodbridge, are asking that customers pre-order items from Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m. to Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. for pickup on Saturday.

Farming 101 specializes in heirloom tomatoes while the Four Mile River Farm sells beef and pork. The Riverbank Farm sells certified organic produce and prepared foods and Two Guys from Woodbridge feature salad greens, microgreens, and edible flowers. Other items sold at the Market include lamb, chicken, cheese, and specialty mushrooms. Vendors such as these can turn to Print shops to help them with creating printed materials with more information about their farms and products.

Only one member of the family can enter the Market at a time. People who patronize the Market are asked to wear gloves and masks and practice social distancing.

The Greenwich Farmers Market has been in the parking lot on Arch Street for the past 30 years. The Market prides itself in being one that only sells produce.

The Market will open Saturday May 16 with hours from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
