New veterinary care to come to Greenwich

Nightingale Veterinary Partners will soon be a new option for healthcare for cats and dogs in Greenwich.

The Planning and Zoning Commission of the town approved the special permit for a change of use of the building on Putnam Green to a veterinary hospital and a final site plan.

Nightingale Veterinary Partners was founded in 2017 and is based in New York City. The practice focuses on the happiness of the team and looks to innovate as it transforms the traditional veterinary practice into a healthier and happier place. Nightingale Veterinary Partners is affiliated with the Hospital for Veterinary Surgery.

The building on Putnam Green spans 14,500 square feet and is three stories in height. It will not have a kennel or boarding services and will focus on consultations and post-operative care with an eye center and a surgery center. Pets will be kept overnight only when medically necessary. Such new facilities can take advantage of brochure printing to highlight their services and offerings.

The veterinary group said that it is filling a niche in the community as there are no other specialty veterinary offices or hospitals in Greenwich. The group added that the practice will be in a good position to serve residents in the area.

There will be four doctors and 20 veterinary employees. Its hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
