Jenni Kayne, a California-based brand that specializes in décor and clothing, is now opened in Greenwich. Most of the chain’s stores are on the West Coast, with two locations in New York City.
Lauren Holmes, a spokesperson for the company, said that it was looking to expand on the East Coast, since Connecticut, and Greenwich in particular, has always been a large source of its online business. Holmes added that there has been a demand from customer for a store in the state, and Greenwich seemed like the ideal location.
The store will be hosting two events this month, not focused on shopping, to celebrate the opening of the store. Such events are often promoted throughout a community with banner printing.
The store is planning to hold a private knitting workshop with the owner of Smoke & Slate. The workshop will enable attendees to create a chunky merino wool scarf and will be held on Wednesday, December 8 from 9:00 to 10:00 am. The cost is $70, and space is limited.
There will also be a holiday embroidery event. While guests shop in the store, hand-stitched monograms will be done on throws, tree skirts, stockings, and many other items that can be purchased in the store. Gift wrapping will also be complimentary. This event will take place from noon to 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 12.
