The Greenwich Relay for Life organization is holding several fundraising events this month to support the American Cancer Society’s research to find a cure for cancer, and the services it provides for those affected by the disease.
The first one will be a Ladies’ Night Out at the Christ Church Greenwich sponsored by Mercedes Benz of Greenwich. The highlight will be bingo games, with door prizes featuring designer handbags, raffles, and a silent auction. The price of $45 a ticket also includes coffee, light appetizers, a Viennese dessert table, and wine. The event will be held tomorrow, May 8, with doors opening at 6:00 pm.
Cho’s Taekwondo Martial Arts will be holding a Tag Sale on Saturday May 30, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm with all proceeds going to Relay for Life. It will also be holding classes in the morning for both children and adults.
The organizers of both these events have turned to flyer printing companies to publicize more details about their fundraisers, and to encourage attendance from those in the community.
In addition, at the Tropical Smoothie Café, for every Sunny Day Smoothie purchased at the shop this month, it will be donating $1 to Relay for Life. The organization will also benefit from games played by Bridgeport Bluefish baseball team from May 15 and thereafter, as $4 of every ticket purchase will be donated to it.
