Projects in Greenwich to replace water mains are currently underway by Aquarion Water Company.
These replacement projects will take place on Hawthorne Road, Keofferam Road, and Woodland Drive. It is expected that customers will encounter possible detours and traffic delays on these streets from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am when the work is being done. Spreading the word throughout the community about such projects is often made possible with flyer printing.
The projects will entail replacing 2,700 feet of water main on Hawthorne Road and Keofferam Road, and 930 feet of water mains on Woodland Drive. Aquarion says that these projects are part of its plan to improve the water distribution of the company, and to ensure that the water is of the highest quality. These upgrades will also help to reduce water main breaks and leaks that cause interruptions in service.
Manager of Utility Programs for Aquarion, Justin Xenelis, expressed his appreciation of the patience of residents during these projects. He said that the company will work closely with town officials, contractors, and customers to coordinate the work and ensure that disruptions are minimalized.
Aquarion Water Company provides the public water supply for over 700,000 people in 68 cities and towns in Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
Work on these projects is expected to be completed by the end of July. The town will then coordinate final repaving of the streets.
