Greenwich to hold town celebration with music

The Greenwich Town Party will be returning at the end of this month to showcase local musicians and the talents of legendary bands.

Headlining the party will be Lynyrd Skynyrd, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as well as The Beach Boys, 8Track Band; Caroline Jones, and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue.

Among the local performers will be RipChord-Rock Ensemble of the 102d Army Band, Basso & the New Frogs, Charlie King & the Next Big Thing, and the Greenwich High School Jazz Ensemble.

Many generations of residents from Greenwich are brought together for this party to celebrate the town and enjoy family activities, local food favorites, and live music. Performances take place on the Town Stage and the Second Stage at the park and were created for the appreciation of the many diverse talents in the Greenwich community.

Co-President of the Greenwich Town Party, Ray Rivers, said that there is an impressive array of musical talent in the town. The party enables everyone to flock to the park to see these performers throughout the day. Organizers of these kinds of special events often use flyer printing to attract as many people as possible to such events.

The Greenwich Town Party will take place all day at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park on Saturday, May 25.
