The Bruce Museum in Greenwich recently announced several special events for the month of January.
The Museum will be offering Science Sundays for children aged four and old, along with their families. This will be an opportunity to explore simple science concepts while enjoying kid-friendly science experiments and crafts and projects. The first Science Sunday will be on January 10 and focuses on crystals, while the second one will be on January 31 and features fossils.
Dr. Jack Conrad, Assistant Professor in the Department of Anatomy from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, will be presenting a lecture on the Secrets of Fossil Lake. His talk will focus on the snakes and evolution of lizards in the lake over hundreds of millions of years. It will begin at 6:30 pm on January 12 and light refreshments will be provided.
A stroller tour of the Museum for new parents and caregivers will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 13. The next day, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, there will be a Young Professionals Happy Hour where beer tastings will be provided by Two Roads of Stratford, a local brewery. A representative from the brewery will talk about the beer varieties and staff will be giving tours of the Museum.
The use of flyer printing companies is one way the Museum can make people in the community aware of these upcoming events.
