Greenwich goes pink to support breast cancer awareness

The Breast Cancer Alliance (BCA) is collaborating with the town of Greenwich and its many of its businesses to hold a series of upcoming events, called GoForPink, dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness Month next month.

Major events such as these often turn to flyer printing for promotional purposes.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month will be launched in the town with the annual flag raising of the BCA. Attending this event will be President of the BCA, Mary Jeffery; Director of Breast Care Services Greenwich Hospital, Dr. Barbara Ward; and First Selectman Peter Tesei. This will be held at the Town Hall next Thursday, October 3 at 9:00 am.

This will be followed by a special day of dining, shopping, and educational displays in the town, raising funds and awareness to help the mission of the BCA to eliminate cancer. There will be a complimentary BCA breakfast for the community hosted by Richards, featuring an intimate conversation to Allison Gilbert and Lee Woodruff, both of whom are authors. This breakfast will take place beginning at 10:00 am.

There will be other days during the month when merchants will be hosting their own GoForPink dining and shopping days, during which a percentage of their sales those days will be donated to the BCA. Greenwich merchants will also be donating items to the Annual Luncheon Auction of the BCA to be held on Monday, October 21.
