Allegra Dance Greenwich recently announced its schedule of classes for the spring, which get underway at the beginning of next month.
In a flyer for which the dance studio most likely used a local Print company, it introduces a new program called ‘Rising Stars’ for children from two through nine years old.
New offerings include a tap dancing class on Monday afternoons for those aged five to seven, a combined ballet and tap dancing class on Wednesday afternoons for the same age group, and a combined ballet and jazz class on Friday afternoons for kids between the ages of three and five.
Ballet classes start at Level I basics and go up to Level VII advanced classes. These are primarily in the late afternoon and evening, Monday through Saturday, leading up to Allegra’s annual performance of ‘The Nutcracker’ for the performing group classes.
Allegra will also be holding hip hop classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the late afternoon and evening, as well as all day on Saturday. Children as young as six can take these classes, while more advanced classes are available for preteens and teenagers.
There are also classes for adults from Monday through Thursday beginning at 5:30 pm, covering the likes of include ballet, hip hop, jazz, and modern dance. Karate classes are also to be held on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
