Citarella is has opened one of its high-end grocery stores in Greenwich this month.
According to founder of the store, Joe Gurrera, the opening was originally scheduled for earlier in the year, but got pushed back due to the need to apply for additional permits to sell liquor in the store. However, he added that everything is moving along very quickly at this time.
Gurrera held three open houses in the latter part of 2014 for prospective employees, as he was looking to hire about 80 people for the store. He recently said he is planning to employ more people. This will be a good opportunity for business card printing as these employees can use the Business Cards to promote the new store.
Citarella was established in 1912 in New York City, focused at the time on selling seafood on Manhattan's Upper West Side. It has since grown to becoming a well-known shop for the purchase of seafood and other fine foods. Its selection of items includes handpicked and dry aged meats, chef-prepared pastries and foods, fresh produce, and artisan cheeses. The store also has its own brand of grains and pasta, vinegars, olive oils, and chocolates.
Citarella has two stores in New York City and three in the Hamptons on Long Island. The Greenwich store will be the sixth location.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
