Superintendent Dr. Toni Jones has announced that Sean O’Keefe will become the new chief operating officer of the Greenwich Public School district next month. O’Keefe will oversee the operation of facilities and finances for the district.
Jones expressed excitement about welcoming O’Keefe to the administrative team of the Greenwich Public Schools. Jones added that he has extensive experience in both the educational and corporate sectors, and so is ideal for the position. His abilities in operational and financial oversight and management of complex and large-scale projects will make him valuable to the team, Jones added.
O’Keefe attended Fordham University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree and a Master of Business Administration in Finance. He has worked at IBM, where he held many operational and financial positions, including the management of the multibillion-dollar information technology budget for the company’s worldwide operations and other global financial roles in the United States, Asia Pacific, and Europe.
He has also been the business administrator for the Trumbull Board of Education. Among his responsibilities were the annual budget, health insurance, payroll, and monthly financial performance reviews.
O’Keefe, who will no doubt be updating his Business Cards, will be replacing Lorianne O’Donnell, who took a similar position at a nonprofit organization elsewhere in the state. He will begin his new position on Monday, December 16.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
