The Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund (GPDSF) and partnerships in town will be hosting several events in the upcoming year to celebrate its 125th anniversary.
The GPSF awards scholarship money to the children of Greenwich Police Officers who are currently active in the force.. The students must be enrolled on a full-time basis and maintain an academic grade-point-average of 2.75 or better. More information with frequently asked questions about such scholarships is often made available with flyer printing.
NicholsMD, a firm in Greenwich that provides medical, cosmetic, and aesthetic services will donate five percent of its sales of the Product of the Month to the GPDSF for the month of June. A back-to school sale will be held by Vineyard Vines with its proceeds going to the fund. During the entire month of September, Miku Sushi will create a special sushi roll, the proceeds of which will go to the fund.
The GPDSF will also be holding a Car Show in August. Featured will be antique, classic, exotic, and custom cars as well as vintage fire trucks, military vehicles, and motorcycles. There will be food trucks, a DJ, a 50/50 drawing, among other activities. This will be on Saturday August 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Town Hall. Admission is free and the cost is $20 per vehicle for participation in the car show.
