American-style eatery to open in Greenwich

Ron Rosa, a well-known restaurateur, is planning to open a new restaurant in the Glenville area of Greenwich later this year.

The restaurant, to be known as “The Lion,” will open in what was once Centro at The Mill. Rosa said that the location had been empty for a year and the landlord approached him with an offer he could not refuse. He said the location is breathtaking as it is next to the waterfall in Glenville and it can attract many people as there are many apartments and offices in the area.

The Lion will span approximately 4,000 square feet and will have a large bar that will be able to hold close to 20 guests. It also has a terrace that guests will be able to enjoy in the warmer months. The atmosphere will have a colonial safari look that will like a private English club in Kenya from the 9150s and 1960s. Such restaurateurs can turn to flyer printing to inform residents of such new eateries expected to open in town.

The menu will be an American bistro style featuring some of Rosa’s favorite dishes. Rosa said that some of these items include lobster bisque, chili, steak pomme frite, and onion soup but added that he will be working with the menu as the restaurant develops.

Rosa has a tentative opening date of sometime in May for the restaurant.
