Two-day course comes to Enfield

There will be a Level 1 Venomous Handling Certification Course taking place in Enfield this October.

This course is available to a variety of individuals, whether they are a land manager, consultant, first responder, or enthusiast. Taking place over two days, it will equip them with a professional certification in safe venomous reptile handling.

The comprehensive program covers classroom topics such as native venomous species, ecology, anatomy, venom toxinology, snakebite management, and ethical relocation guidelines. Practical techniques covered include single and double hooking, containing, and bagging venomous snakes.

The course involves physically demanding classroom and hands-on training. Participants must be 18 and over and need to be relatively agile, capable of kneeling, standing, and lifting. Mentally, participants need to be quick learners who are focused and can communicate clearly. Some accommodations can be arranged for disabilities if discussed with the organizers in advance.

The cost to attend the course is $349. Those who wish to attend can register on the Save the Buzz Tails listing. To obtain an exclusive discount, individuals can use code "VET1ST" for veterans, emergency responders, and partners in non-profit , and "STUDENT20" for students.

Brochure printing can be a great way for event organizers to provide take-home information to attendees at events such as this one.

The event location will be at Riverside Reptiles Education Center, 132 S Rd, Enfield. It will take place on October 21 and 22.
