The Mount Carmel Italian Festival will be holding its 100th edition in Enfield this summer, featuring Italian food, culture, and music.
The festival is designed to highlight the historic Mount Carmel cathedral and fairgrounds through a candlelight procession. There will also be live music, including tributes to past hits and legendary Italian American performers, with Johnny Six Gun, Deana Martin, and The Brat Pack performing. Italian singer Vittorio Di Carlo will also take the stage each night.
Other entertainment will include the Sorelle d’Italia dance troupe, accordion music, and classic carnival rides. There will be Italian food including pizza and pasta, with beer and wine available for refreshments. “La Festa” will span three days, with a different headlining performer on each day.
There will be a shuttle service on Saturday transporting people from the Enfield Town Hall and nearby parking to the festival site. The event has been an annual landmark hosted by the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society, which was founded in 1926 to help Italian immigrants to Connecticut and celebrate Italy. Cultural festivals like this often use poster printing to help welcome all community members in.
The 2026 Mount Carmel Italian Festival will take place at the Mount Carmel Fairgrounds in Enfield this weekend, from Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 2. Admission is free for children aged 12 and under.
