The event, dubbed “Gals’ Night Out: A Galentine’s Day Pop Up Shop” will take the form of a temporary market with a handful of carefully chosen local vendors. Items on sale include sweets, beauty products, jewellery, and potential gifts, all locally sourced. There will be beer and wine available, and live music by the Dukes of Hazardville will help create a celebratory atmosphere.
Among the exhibitors will be Obsessed Hair Tinsel, which provides “fairy hair” and color streaks to add a glamorous touch. Promotional material advertises the event as focused on self-love and self-care, describing it as:
“…perfect for your besties, your Valentine… or yourself. .”
“Galentine’s” and “Palentine’s” events are a popular alternative celebration highlighting friendship in February, with these occasions often advertised through methods such as flyer printing and social media. For those more romantically inclined, the Brewery will also be hosting a Valentine’s Day Cookie Box Class and The Art of the Board Holiday Edition earlier in the month, with the goal of creating holiday gifts.
“Gal’s Night Out: A Galentine’s Day Pop Up Shop” will take place at the Powder Hollow Brewery taproom on the evening of Friday, February 13.
