Enfield to host fencing tournament
The Enfield Fencing Club will be hosting its Nightmare on Hazard Ave Tournament this November, with a spooky season theme for the gathering of local fencers.
The tournament will include events in foil and sabre fencing in open, veteran, and youth categories, with participants taking place in fast-paced duels of swordsmanship. Events may also be split into men’s and women’s categories if registration permits. All competition will be sanctioned by the US Fencing Association and will follow standard rules and regulations, with results contributing to fencers’ ratings.
A Nightmare on Hazard Ave, named after the Club’s location, is designed to be a late Halloween celebration, with past events featuring custom themed T-shirts. Athletic tournaments like this often use promotional products to reward participants and create mementos of the occasion. All participants must bring their own equipment and be pre-registered for the event.
