Real estate and wedding planning on Enfields March agenda
There are two events planned for the month of March for the Asnuntuck area of Enfield.
A real estate course that teach practices and principles is available during the spring semester at Asnuntuck Community College. The state requires real estate brokers and salespeople to take this course before getting their license. Property managers, investors, real estate agents, and homeowners can benefit from the all-encompassing class.
Martin Torres will teach the class starting March 18, taking place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 pm until 9:30 pm until May 6. The cost is $610 including the required textbook. The exam for a state license is a separate expense and is scheduled at a different time. Students are required to have 60 classroom instruction hours and a final grade of 70 or higher in order to qualify for a license in Connecticut. The course achieves the basic requirements for a Connecticut state real estate license.
On March 31, the Asnuntuck Conference and Banquet Center will host a wedding display from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Several local vendors will attend, including stationary printers for wedding invitations, bakers, caterers, florists, and bridal fashion stores. Bridal gift ideas and information such as spa packages will be available.
The first 50 people to show up will earn a gift from the expo. Guests can also win three gift certificates worth $500 each for wedding and spa packages. The Enfield ShopRite Bakery will offer samples of wedding cake.
