Johnny's in Enfield is hosting a mud run next month.
As in years before, there will be two pits for different types of trucks. One pit will be available for trucks with a tire size under 45 inches. The other pit will cater to trucks with bigger tires in order to maximize truck runs.
Riders must wear helmets and seatbelts, and have rear hitch points on their trucks. Helmets that do not adhere to the guidelines of mud runs – such as sports, scooter, bicycle, or cosmetic helmets – are prohibited. Passengers can ride in the trucks as long as they adhere to safety regulations set by event officials.
Tickets to attend are $15. Admission is free for children aged 10 and under. To enter a truck into the mud run, it costs $25, which includes the admission price for one person.
The gates open at 9:00 am. Truck drivers will have a meeting at 10:30 am. The mud run will begin at 11:00 am.
At 3:00 pm, there will be a break in the mud run when other events to take place. There will be a long jump contest, a Tug-A-Truck, a Promotional Products giveaway, and a race for kids who brought battery powered riding vehicles and a helmet. If the weather is fair, there will also be a Dash for Cash.
The 2020 Mud Run will be on April 18, rain or shine, at Johnny’s Mud Runs on Brainard Road.
