Enfield has multiple programs starting in the fall at the library and the senior center.
The Enfield Public Library at 104 Middle Road is hosting a Zumbini class at 11:00 am this Friday, September 6. Dance Amore instructor Deb will lead the interactive lively dance lesson. A mixture of Zumba and child development exercise, Zumbini allows caregivers and children up to five years of age to sing, wiggle, and learn.
On September 6 and September 20 at 2:00 pm, the library will host Friday Films.
Cherie Sachiel, career coach with the Goodwill Career Center, will be at the library once a month for the rest of the year. She will host a monthly workshop on job hunting, with the dates set as September 23, October 21, November 18, and December 23 at 2pm until 3:00 pm. Topics will include applications, transferable skills, references, job searching, résumés, cover letters, and interview skills. Custom Letterheads are common on résumés and cover letters.
Enfield's early childhood joint effort KITE is starting its program Rocking Chair Readers. It is a schedule of story readings with toddlers and preschoolers and a time for multiple generations to interact. Volunteers must visit once a month but can choose how much time they spend at Stowe. Host teachers will aid guest readers with the age group they prefer. Orientation has yet to be scheduled, and interested readers can still sign up at the Senior Center.
All the aforementioned programs at the Enfield Public Library are free.
