The show will feature some of the two composers’ most famous works, including Mozart’s A Little Night Music and movements from Divertimento K. 563, as well as movements from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons concerto and Gloria. The performance will feature a string trio of professional musicians bringing these works to life. Advertising describes the show as:
“A concert experience that is nothing short of magical.”
The concert, dubbed “A Vivaldi & Mozart Candlelight Experience,” will be lit only by candlelight, aiming to create an evocative and intimate atmosphere. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis within ticketed tiers, with two one-hour performances scheduled for the same evening. Tickets must be ordered online in advance. Proceeds from the concert will go toward charity.
The Lumos Experiences organization hosts candlelight concerts across the UK and North America, typically in churches, gardens, or other scenic spots. Shows can involve classical or contemporary music, or a combination of both. Candlelit shows like these have become a popular way to experience familiar music in a new atmosphere, often advertised using poster printing and local radio advertising.
“A Vivaldi & Mozart Candlelight Experience” will take place at the Enfield United Church on the evening of November 6.
