Enfield residents are being invited to clean out their closets, attics, and garages, not just to get rid of all those old items, but also participate in a community event, promote recycling, and support the local food bank.
In just over a week, Enfield School Corporation’s Parent Leadership Academy will be sponsoring its 4th Annual Enfield Town Wide Tag Sale. Whether selling the old or searching for something new, the event will offer something for all Enfield residents, friends, and co-workers.
A $20 donation to Enfield’s Food Shelf will get any participating seller’s address added to an Enfield map, and signage will be placed at the end of the street directing traffic to that specific tag sale. Local schools have already sent Flyers home with elementary students in mid-March, and poster printing is no doubt being done for advertising. The association hopes to top last year’s donations, which were a little under $1,000.
The Parent Leadership Academy is an organization that offers a 12-week leadership program to parents of any Enfield student. The program presents information on subjects such as improving effective speaking skills, managing and understanding conflict, planning fruitful projects, and running successful meetings.
