Enfield goes on a run for the fund

A fundraising triathlon event is to be held in Enfield this January.

The event is the ‘Tri to Help Indoor Triathlon’. It aims to raise money for financial assistance with epilepsy research at the John Hopkins Pediatric Epilepsy Center.

The triathlon consists of three different events of varying duration. Swimming lasts for 10 minutes, followed by a 30-minute bike-ride. The session will then conclude with a 20-minute run on a treadmill. All activities will take place indoors. Further information is available on the event’s website.

All those who complete the three events will receive an event T-shirt, while the top fundraiser for the event will take home a cash prize of $100. The recipient of this prize does not necessarily have to be a participant in the triathlon.

The cost for registration will be $60 per individual. For relay teams, there will be a $110 fee. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Additionally, participants may make a gift to the foundation, or create their own fundraising page during registration. This will allow them to support the cause with the help of family and friends.

Packet pickup takes place on the day of the event at the venue, beginning at 7:00 am. Brochure printing is a creative way to offer patrons further information about events like this.

This event takes place at the Healthtrax Fitness and Wellness Center. This is located at 3 Weymouth Road, Enfield, Connecticut. The first heat begins at 8:00 am.
